Principle 7 – Gather People – Gather People to Influence People (part 14)
TIP #6: Evaluate the effectiveness of your gathering, make any needed adjustments, and start planning your next one. Pay close attention to the details. The discoveries are in the details.
TIP #7: Don’t base your effectiveness on a few attempts. It takes time to build a skill like gathering people.
TIP #8: Be aware of impromptu coaching moments that surface during your day. There are way more opportunities to gather people than we are aware of. We are just used to walking by them instead of seizing them.
TIP #9: Gathering people in groups is a tremendous skill you can use to amplify your disciple-making effectiveness.
Challenge
Ask one person, “What’s your name?” and write their name on your Reach List and where you met them. Give a person on your list a personal invitation to gather with you: “(Their name)_________, I want you to come with me to _________. What do you say?” Teach one person the four spaces Jesus gathered people to make disciples.
Note: This is the last part of Principle #7. Before we go on to Principle #8, you may want to read all parts of this principle to review and to have a complete picture in mind. Blessings.
